Copenhagen in 24h/Copenhague em 24h
EN/ Last month on the way back to London from Dubrovinik, Croatia (see post here) we were lucky to get a 24h layover flight connection in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a short time to visit such capital but it was enough to get a taste of their essence.
We booked a room with Airbnb of a friendly Danish lady who had a cat called Tiger, who seemed to like us. In a city that bike friendly, having around 15 bikes without lockers in each pavement, we made good use of the 24h local transport ticket because we were quite tired from walking in Podgorica, Montenegro and Dubrovinik. Plus that catching the underground and buses saved us time!
PT/ No mês passado, no caminho de volta para Londres saindo de Dubrovinik, Croácia (veja post aqui) tivemos a sorte de conseguir uma conexão de vôo com 24h de escala em Copenhague, Dinamarca. É pouco tempo para visitar uma capital, mas foi o suficiente para sentir sua essência.
Reservamos um quarto com Airbnb de uma senhora dinamarquesa bem amigável que tinha um gato chamado Tiger, que pareceu gostar de nós. Em uma cidade amigável às bicicletas, tendo cerca de 15 bikes sem corrente em cada calçada, fizemos bom uso do bilhete de transporte local valido por 24h porque nós estávamos bastante cansados de andar em Podgorica, Montenegro e Dubrovinik. Além deque pegar o metro e ônibus nos poupou tempo!
Tivoli Park
EN/ It impressed me the fact that it was still sunny at 11pm, people seemed to enjoy the “warm weather” of 17 degrees, which for me was cold specially coming from 25 degrees. Their tradition of having boats and connection to the sea is very visible and interesting.
The city’s building are of amazing architecture and beauty, I loved the Church of Our Saviour. Tivoli Gardens impressed me for being one of the oldest theme parks in Europe (open since 1843), it has an unique style and beauty that makes you travel in time. Apparently, Walt Disney got inspiration to create Disney World there.
I believe that in 24h we managed to see the main spots of the city, but it certainly deserves more time!

PT/ Me impressionou o fato de que ainda estava ensolarado às 11 da noite, as pessoas pareciam apreciar o “tempo quente” de 17 graus, o que para mim foi frio especialmente vindo de 25 graus. Sua tradição de ter barcos e ligação ao mar é muito visível e interessante.
Edifícios da cidade são de arquitetura e beleza incrível, eu amei a Igreja de Nosso Salvador. Tivoli Gardens me impressionou por ser um dos parques temáticos mais antigos da Europa (aberto desde 1843), tem um estilo único e beleza que te faz viajar no tempo. Aparentemente, Walt Disney se inspirou para criar Disney World lá.
Acredito que em 24 horas, conseguimos ver os principais pontos da cidade, mas certamente merece mais tempo!
